The sixth episode of TuxJam has a multimedia theme.  In this episode Kevie takes a look at Purdyne Linux, there is a roud up of several open source CD ripping software including Asunder, RipperX and RubyRipper and also takes a look at a media player, which is forked from Mplayer, called UMplayer.  Along with the usual feature episode 6 includes TuxJam's first ever guest where fellow Crivins co-host Thistleweb joins in for a brief chat about the new show. This episode starts with a brief look at some new releases including: Linux Portable Security, Incognito, Kororaa and Fuduntu.

TuxJam Episode 4

In this episode we take a brief look at ALT Linux 6.0.0, Chakra GNU/Linux 2011.09, Dream Studio 11.04 and ZorinOS 3.1. These are followed by a more indepth look at AntiX Linux M11. For a full list of the installed programs see here.

We take a look at two open source, Android applications; FDroid and Zirco. On the Linux Desktop we look at Pyskool, a Linux port of the classic Spectrum game Skool Daze

TuxJam Episode 3

In this episode we take a brief look at FrugalWare Linux 1.5 RC1, FreeNAS 8.1 beta4, Aptosid 2011-02, SMS 1.61 and Pardus 2011.1. These are followed by a more indepth Look at Linvo GNU/Linux 2010.12.6, which was released on 13.07.11 despite it's name.

On the Linux Desktop we look at WeeChat, a lightweight and fast CLI chat client, that provides a wealth of customization for power users. We take a look at two open source, Android micro blogging applications; Zwitscher and Mustard.

TuxJam is now listed on Oggcasts.org and also gets a mention in the TINAP and Bugcast podcasts. Aswell as some feedback from Andrew Conway and Marie Axlesson.

TuxJam Episode 2

In this episode we take a brief look at
Webconverger 8, Fuduntu 14.10 and DoudouLinux 1.0. These are followed by a more indepth Look at Crunchbang Statler (XFCE edition).

The two applications in this episode are both desktop based, looking at PCManFM file manager and Turpial, a micro blogging client that works with identi.ca.

Feedback section: to my amazement I've had loads of really positive feedback from users on identi.ca, people were asking after a week when episode 2 was going to be released. A few people left feedback through IM, one person took the time to email the show: Andrew Conway (@mcnalu on identi.ca) gave me some nice feedback.
